Was the Sports Analytics Performance in week 25 of Premier League Predictions a fluke? The performance of Betegy last week suggests perhaps it was, with the website getting just four points (four correct results). Not that I should really be critical, as I got the same score also made up of four correct results. There are still two fixtures to be played though in the gameweek later on in May, so everything could change. But for now, here’s how the leaderboard looks…

  1. Jacob South Klein – 9
  2. Sports Analytics Machine – 8
  3. Mitch Clarke, Paul Merson, Jonny Williams, Tom Wisniewski, Seb Schille – 7
  4. Tom Malley, Kieran Rawnsley, Dan Moran, Josh Pound, Kallum Mehta, Phil Beresford, Will Jones* – 6
  5. Olly (average) – 5.46
  6. Felipe Alviar-Baquero, Laith Amiry, Harry Blacknell, Oscar Hayes, Jack Beresford, Jake Moore, William Troost-Ekong, Simeon Pickup, Marc Mayo – 5
  7. My Dad, Josh Nicholson, Mark Lawrenson, FIFA 16, Betegy* – 4
  8. Benjamin Wills, Jason Roberts, Dan Wimbush, Steve Curtis – 3
  9. Kyle Goldsmith, Thomas Fletcher – 2
  • Olly’s Total = 191
  • Guests’ Total = 178

*Still two games to be played

This week I am taking on Jamie Grant, a Chelsea fan, who writes for Blues fansite Chelsea SW6. They cover everything to do with the West London club, from rumours to analysis, and also have their own YouTube channel. He’s predicted a thriller between Chelsea and Tottenham on Monday, but how did we think the other games would pan out aswell…
