Twitter Reacts: A Compilation Of The Leicester City Squad’s Premier League Winning Tweets

Twitter understandably went crazy on Monday night when it was confirmed that Leicester City would be the 2015-16 Premier League champions. The likes of Gary Lineker (who will be doing the first MOTD of next season in his underwear), Piers Morgan and even Prime Minister David Cameron all took to social media to congratulate the Foxes. But for the most emotion and passion you had to look at the Twitter feeds of the stars of this remarkable team, most of whom were gathered at Jamie Vardy’s house, for yes, a party.

So instead of going through each player’s account one-by-one, I thought I’d compile them all here, in order of squad number…

1 Kasper Schmeichel

4 Danny Drinkwater

5 Wes Morgan

6 Robert Huth

8 Matty James

9 Jamie Vardy

I’m 99% sure that this tweet relates to an Instragram post that Tottenham striker Harry Kane sent out a few weeks ago of four menacing looking lions. Vardy, the party legend, is quite frankly taking the p*** out of Kane as he posts a picture from the Lion King of a lion, well, failing. Definition of LAD.

10 Andy King

12 Ben Hamer

13 Daniel Amartey

15 Jeffrey Schlupp

17 Danny Simpson

18 Liam Moore

20 Shinji Okazaki

(Retweeted Christian Fuchs & Gokhan Inler)

22 Demarai Gray

26 Riyad Mahrez

28 Christian Fuchs

30 Ben Chilwell

33 Gokhan Inler

36 Joe Dodoo

Marc Albrighton, N’Golo Kante, Leonardo Ulloa, Nathan Dyer, Marcin Wasilewski and Mark Schwarzer are all either not on Twitter or not active on Monday night.

My Top Three Tweets

3. Jeffrey Schlupp

2. Jamie Vardy

1. Christian Fuchs

So that is it. 18 players. 29 tweets. One huge celebration in Leicester. Congratulations once again!
