My Football Bucket List

Football provides you with emotions and feelings that nothing else in the world does, and that’s why it is the beautiful game. My love for the sport will never die, and there a plenty of things I would love to experience within the game. So here is my football bucket list, made up of 18 experiences, one for every year of my life so far, that I aim to experience in the rest of my life. Some I can actively do myself, whilst others are dependent on other factors…

1. Watch a football game in Europe (completed – obviously), Africa, Asia, South America, North America and Oceania

2. Go the World Cup final and European Championships final

3. Go to the FA Cup final, League Cup final, Champions League final and Europa League final

4. Go to the El Clasico

5. Go to the Old Firm Derby

6. Go to an England away game

7. Visit the Maracana

8. See Reading win at Wembley (the club haven’t won there since 1988!)

9. See Reading play in European competition

10. Be part of the ‘Yellow Wall’ at Borussia Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park

11. Buy shares in a football club

12. Play in a professional football club’s stadium

13. Take a child to his or her first ever football match

14. Write a book on something football-related

15. Go to two football matches in one day

16. Go on an FA Cup journey – watching a match from every single round in one season, starting in August

18. Watch a football game at the largest stadium in the world – The Rungrado 1st of May Stadium. Although it’s in North Korea, so er… maybe not!
